England's Head Coach Thomas Tuchel asserted that he has "no issue" with Jack Grealish after the trio were left out the Three Lions squad for upcoming fixtures against Wales and Latvia.

The midfielder has not been recalled even after recovering from a shoulder injury, while Foden and Grealish are also absent despite showing a return to form with their respective clubs.

The German manager mentioned that the 22-year-old wanted to be part of the squad, after a conversation with him on the phone.

"Bellingham is a unique talent, and for special players there can often be exceptions," the coach said regarding the Real Madrid star, who's made just one start since coming back to fitness.

"However we decided to stick with the simple choice of calling up the same group.

"Bellingham consistently merits to be here. There is also the situation that he has not fully found his full rhythm yet at Real Madrid - he has not completed a full match.

"The player wanted to be selected. We had a phone call."

Tuchel made an effort to highlight his good rapport with Bellingham after he said sorry to him earlier this year for describing his on-pitch behavior as "disgusting" in a televised interview.

The German explained that he used the words "unintentionally" and promised to be more careful in future.

When asked if he had any issue with the player, Tuchel said: "No. There is no issue either with Phil Foden or Jack Grealish.

"Phil is back to influencing and deciding games for Manchester City. Jack is almost to returning to the top form of himself.

"There is no personal problem."

Bukayo Saka taking the place of the injured Madueke is the sole alteration to last month's squad, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jarell Quansah keeping their spots after joining as late additions previously due to injury.

The Three Lions play Wales in a non-competitive match at Wembley Stadium on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in Riga on 14 October.

If the team win in Latvia, they will require a maximum of two points from their final two matches - against Albania and Serbia in next month - to secure a spot in the upcoming tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
